#Wyoming gives middle finger to #Tesla

A resolution just introduced in the Wyoming state senate seeks to "express as a goal that the sale of new #electric #vehicles in the state of Wyoming be phased out by 2035."

(#ElonMusk must be thrilled!)

In typical #Republican stunt fashion, the Wyoming Secretary of State is directed to send a copy of the resolution to... The Governor of California. 🙄 This is just a resolution, not a law, so it's 100% performative #GOP nonsense.

Last year I got a battery power lawn mower. It's like turning on a light in a dark room. Love it. Lite as a feather, me, old lady can pick it up! Push with one hand! No smell, no oily mess, quiet. During a bad storm last year, actually brought it in the house so it wouldn't get wet 😊Would NEVER bring my old gas mower inside. Amazing. These fools so against electric cars are biting off their nose to spite their face. They will do anything to own the libs, including self-harm. Stupid.

@JudyOlo It's pretty amazing how quickly battery powered lawn equipment has evolved. I've got my eye on an EGO Power weed whacker for when my ancient Husky bites the dust. Saw a Youtube video where a dude is out clearing a semi-wooded patch on his property for 30+ minutes on one battery, going right through little tree saplings and everything. This stuff has gotten really impressive.

@ampersine more and more government work is looking like High School all over again and this just further proves it. "This group likes this, so we are going to hate it".

Hell I am just waiting for the technology to get to the point that you can buy a whole EV conversion setup as a 'Crate Engine' package so that people can easily convert older classic cars cause I would buy that.

Already really enjoy watching JerryRigEverything and his Electric Humvee build and Ford already released the motor from their Mach E Mustang as a 'crate engine' so you could technically do it as long as you could get the rest of the setup so we are already heading that way.
