Watched the introduction movie for Wake Up, Girls! this morning and it looks pretty promising. My usual teen girls doing music anime is idealistic stuff like Love Live and BanG Dream so it's nice to watch something that acknowledges idol culture as an entertainment business, warts and all. The girls seem like actual realistic people, and it also features a central adult character, a male one no less, which is a big departure!
Very interested to see how the show plays out.
