I mentioned here the other day that I keep seeing guys (always guys) being super-impressed about ChatGPT and posting 'brilliant' answers that are factually incorrect.

@baldur my friend (who's learning and doing ML professionally) is 100% convinced it's revolutionary future and that it's going to be solving hard problems, and only going to be a net positive. We ended the argument with me essentially telling him to wait 5 years and see how everything catches fire from all the abuse that's already rampant

@baldur I often say, “Google knows everything, but sometimes it lies.” What many people do not understand about AI tools like Chat-GPT is that they hallucinate.

@baldur that's the thing with bandwagons. Everyone jumps on them without thinking and then the wheels fall off.
