The iconic car in Super Fly belonged to actual Harlem pimp K.C. who allowed the filmmakers to use his car in exchange for a cameo (as the pimp) in the movie. He also had roles in That’s the Way of the World (1975) (as the cab driver) and another TCM Underground classic, Across 110th Street (1972) (Also as a pimp). The car was later seized by the I.R.S..
