During the storms, when the power was out this week (for the second time), my roomie and I went to dinner and then chilled at Books Inc next door. Since I can’t seem to leave a bookstore without buying something, here’s my #bookhaul:
Things Have Gotten Worse Since Last We Spoke and Other Misfortunes by Eric LaRocca — The cashier said this one was f*cked up, and having read two out of the three stories, I can say, she wasn’t wrong. #booklove
The Diary of Frida Kahlo: An Intimate Self Portrait — I’m wanting to read more books this year about craft and the people who write and make art — and this one has been on my list for a long time.
The World We Make by N.K. Jemisin — I was at the register about to leave with my three books when I happened to notice this and screeched “The sequel’s out?!” At which point, I grabbed it and tossed it on the pile. #booklove
