@ForeignSubstance @rubecube12 @johnserwach driving around Cali last few days - why are places like Palo Alto Mountain View and other well off places cheaper in terms of restaurants than freakin shitty Sacramento? I hate this city.

@rubecube12 @ForeignSubstance @plutus

California in general has always been a cheap place to eat (maybe because so much food comes from there? Idk) but in my experience outside of place like the Disney Grand Californian most food is very cheap much like Vegas. Booze & drugs cheap too.

@johnserwach @rubecube12 @ForeignSubstance

I find the exact opposite experience. I was here often prior to 5 years ago and that was indeed the case, but in the last 2/3 years - I feel like Newsome's subsidies have completely done a reversal on consumer prices, Things use to be cheaper across the board in CA vs. NJ, now it's the complete opposite.

The same chain stores - auto-parts, oil change places, fast eats, salons - complete 180

@johnserwach @rubecube12 @ForeignSubstance

A slice of pizza 4.50, a bowel of ramen 16, a burger 8 - at the same chain in NJ is 20-30% cheaper. No way it's this much in Michigan,

@johnserwach @rubecube12 @ForeignSubstance

pizza guy, teriyaki maki, carl's jr

@ForeignSubstance @plutus @rubecube12 we don’t have the first two, the third is called Hardee’s here (pretty sure it’s the same)- they were always expensive. Very good commercials tho-

7 Famous Carl's Jr. Commercial Girls

Sara Sampaio's recent red-hot turn as a Carl's Jr commercial girl had us thinking back to the burger chain's most famous faces throughout the years. Who could forget Charlotte McKinney's Super Bowl commercial which created its own set of controversy in February of this year? The sexy advertisements have gotten…

Industrial sectors, yes there are needs, which is directly tied to the infrastructure bill. Like it was in China this is only temporary.
Service jobs are no long needed.
There is no structural resurgence of brick and mortar outside of stimmy induced.
We live in a mature economy within the developed world - it's not hard to grasp.

@ForeignSubstance @plutus @rubecube12

What’s tomorrows CPI- I will give prizes.

@plutus @ForeignSubstance @rubecube12 good try but a miss. I will save the keys to this El Dorado for next month.

@ForeignSubstance @johnserwach @plutus

CPI lower. Jobless claims lower. No recession. No collusion

@ForeignSubstance @plutus @johnserwach

Just remember. Thats what voters care about. Powell has no effect on the economy

@plutus @rubecube12 @ForeignSubstance

Here’s my CPI-W chart for you “home gamers”😂😂

@johnserwach @rubecube12 @ForeignSubstance

WTF was all that clamoring when Biden was talking in hte presser.
These chambers of commerce dudes rather side with magas than Biden - absolutely retarded.

@johnserwach @ForeignSubstance @rubecube12

WTF is garland investigating records that Biden had from obama's term.

Here’s the real scandal- I share my work with these people & see how they like it when the shoes on the other foot?

@plutus @johnserwach @ForeignSubstance

What did he say about your pretzels

@ForeignSubstance @plutus @rubecube12

I used Himalayan salt because it was what I had that was crystallized - so it didn’t show up well in the pic- and he went off about how they weren’t pure without pretzel salt or some shit- f@ck him

@johnserwach @ForeignSubstance @rubecube12

He's very bad with any pushback no matter how microscopic.

@rubecube12 @plutus @ForeignSubstance dan’s probably right, it’s probably all the plastics he’s ingesting.

You are missing some real gems Danny boy - just the reaction from the maga/crypto boys is enough to make up having to pay Muskito 0.000001 shekles.

@plutus @johnserwach @ForeignSubstance

Lol he is the one who wants deflation and a recession

@rubecube12 @johnserwach @ForeignSubstance

Bucco? really?
Isn't he more left leaning?

@johnserwach @ForeignSubstance @plutus

If the fed is cutting that means we're in a recession. If the fed is raising the economy is strong. Only tech bros want deflation

@rubecube12 @johnserwach @ForeignSubstance

Biden wants deflation - you have completely the wrong feel. Listen to this AEI dude - this is a political battle.

Experts react to December's inflation report

YouTube

@ForeignSubstance @plutus @johnserwach

Conservatives want deflation. Liberals want inflation. Inflation helps the poor and those in debt. Deflation helps the rich and hurts the poor

@rubecube12 @plutus @johnserwach Inflation *crushes* the poor. I'm sorry, but this is just ... wrong. Sure, it helps inflate debt away, but this is *more than offset by a lower ability to consume.

@ForeignSubstance @rubecube12 @plutus

It depends. It is hard on the truly poor. But It does tend to benefit the working poor when combined with reasonable wage increases. The working poor (at least in the US) are more apt to own homes in less desirable neighborhoods and or have debt from medical bills, attempts at college, children etc and those debts do tend to inflate away. Obviously it’s beneficial to the so called middle class if they have debt.

@johnserwach @rubecube12 @plutus Key: "when combined with reasonable wage increases"

And conservatives don't want deflation. Nobody wants deflation. It's what the Fed has spent more than a decade trying to prevent.

@ForeignSubstance @johnserwach @plutus

Conservatives hate the fed. They want deflation. Thats all they tail against is inflation. Even when inflation was only 1%

@rubecube12 @johnserwach @plutus You need to differentiate, I think.

Very wealthy conservatives vs. fearful, reactionary, & sometimes dirt-poor social/religious conservatives whose minds have been effectively programmed by agents of the former.
