CNN found a 2020 exchange in which George Santos—going by George Devolder—was confronted by a potential customer who looked into his Ponzi scheme and was told by Deutsche Bank that it was "a complete fraud" (Which, it turns out, was true)

It appears, according to emails obtained by WaPo, that at least one other investor reached out to Santos—then going by George Devolder—to explain that the Deutsche Bank letter was a fraud.

Despite multiple warnings, Santos stayed at the Ponzi scheme.

@RobertMaguire is this the same smoke and mirrors the ftx (or similar) just tried. Take users money, put it in insured bank, risk/steal/spend the money while claiming its safe because the ftx amounts are insured by the deposit location.
