"The leopard hugged me & left. I felt a connection to something ancient. I must have Africa for my good works. You can’t, Harold. Africa is mine. I’m the Heir. You can have Australia. Off you go."

(Think you have to listen to audio version of this to truly appreciate it, as he obvs has. Yes, it's v short sentences).

‘I was alone. Abandoned. With only a hundred million in the bank’ – Spare, digested by John Crace

Prince Harry’s memoir is the UK’s fastest-selling nonfiction book ever. Too busy to read it? All the love, rancour, drugs and petty fights are here

The Guardian

@amyfallon

He read it so we don't have to. Funny but also an indication of something sad and pathetic.

@priamsdaughter have to say although since think he’s an incessant moaner and lacking self-awareness, have come to have more sympathy after listening to it. IMHO is the product of a stupid system.
@amyfallon
I just read the first couple of chapters which I downloaded as a sample and I think Crace was very unfair (if I'd read the book first I wouldn't have written my comment). Overall I've been sympathetic to Harry & Megan - the reaction of most royal commentators tends to prove their point. The whole episode has highlighted what a crap system the monarchy is.
@priamsdaughter yes and tbf he does say some positive and affectionate things about his Dad and Wills and even critical of his mother. But not much of that if any it seems has made headlines.
