Sue them. Make them pay for the damage they did. Use the money to fund #renewables and #climateaction. Drive them out of business and lock up their leaders.

Revealed: Exxon made ‘breathtakingly’ accurate climate predictions in 1970s and 80s

@gardeningwell I will never understand how humans can knowingly inflict this kind of suffering, how they can choose to inflict existential threats to their own existence on themselves, their children, and grandchildren. It’s a stunning display of callousness, yes, but counter to their own survival instincts, as well. Who ARE these people? What could possibly motivate them to do this. You can’t breathe, drink, or eat money. JFC.
@gardeningwell Whenever I see an outrage like this, I wonder, could there be a law that would have prevented the withholding of this information? Like, if corporate researchers identify a trend that could lead to wide scale harm (a possible pollutant or hazard), then it must be disclosed? Or further, that misinformation be considered a kind of illegal fraud?
@seth I am not a legal expert but in my opinion this was both immoral and illegal. Reckless endangerment, genocide, ecocide, murder, arson, criminal damage. I am glad to say that many people are bringing cases in this area.
@gardeningwell Bernie Sanders was going to indict these bastards and that's likely one of the reasons our so-called Democratic Party decided to screw him once again.
