Lou Katz@mattblaze I'm not sure that it is 'needlessly' high resolution. I assume these pictures are also HDR. How long did you work on it before you were satisfied with your ability to get the spatial and tonal range you wanted?
@lou The Phase One is inherently HDR (full 16 bits of depth), but this particular image didn't require much post-processing. I got the dark sky and high contrast by shooting IR, with, as I recall, a 760nm filter. So almost all the tweaking for composition on contrast was done at the time of shooting.
