Behind The Door (Irvin Willat, 1919).

The most disturbing and gut-wrenching silent film I have ever seen.

This restoration is magnificent though (thanks to the San Francisco Silent Film Festival) and the score composed and performed by Stephen Horne absolutely elevates the entire film.

In my view, an unsettling but essential viewing experience for every movie fan out there.
