@hoblitz @BrentToderian @kenklippenstein That would be news to Iceland and Norway, where it's dark all winter and Teslas are the #1 selling vehicles.

IMHO, that video looks to me, an owner, like the driver took it *out* of autopilot and tried to pull over. This sort of media rush to judgement happens over and over, and everyone loves to just blame things on the car to avoid their own responsibility.

Ironically enough, if the vehicles following the Tesla also had ADAS collision avoidance - from Tesla or any other manufacturer - this would have been an uncomfortable but inconsequential event.

I believe the driver of the Tesla used the break pedal after being inattentive and being surprised by an episode of ‘phantom breaking’.
