Shield MaidenAnother truly awful night where once I lay down at less than a 45° angle the throat tickles started and massive coughing fits ensued, making me so breathless I had to seriously tamp down on the rising panic. More gunk expelled and more planned coughing episodes on the list for today to attempt more clearance. I can't face another night of almost zero sleep. THIS is "just a cold".
DaveL. # FBPE #GTTO@Judeet88 There is a very nasty bug going around that lasts a while as you are describing. Hang on in there, it does go eventually. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

@Judeet88 Do you have access to an inhaler? My sister was down with something similar around Christmas and got an Rx for an inhaler via a telephone appointment, which helped her to keep the coughing fits down. She eventually needed a round of antibiotics because it morphed into bronchitis or pneumonia.
@EllenInEdmonton I'm doing deep breathing exercises and drinking plenty...I don't want to stop coughing as that's the only way to get the gunk off my chest, otherwise it'll sit there festering and turn into a proper full-blown infection!
