Many people are desperately afraid of “forever masking.”

I'm afraid of #COVID19 remaining a top five cause of death indefinitely.

I'm scared COVID will leave billions with lasting damage to their heart, brains, and immune systems.

I'm frightened that children infected three, four or nine times will have lifelong health issues.

I'm worried that a rapidly mutating virus could yet spin off a deadly new variant.

Why is it so hard to do something so simple to possibly save a life? #WearAMask

@augieray I'm afraid of people who want everyone to wear masks will demand more restrictions if they were successful on getting masks mandated. There is a sizeable element who want such restrictions as we had with lockdown to be made permanent.
@RonnieW Slippery slope arguments are lazy. "I'm afraid of the 55 mph speed limit because next they'll want it to be 10 mph." Or, "I'm afraid of 'no shirt, no shoes, no service' signs because next they'll expect us to wrap up like zombies." Worry about what's next AFTER we stop COVID from being a top 4 or 5 cause is death and a major source of mass mobility.
@augieray No. Its not a lazy argument. Its perfectly valid & one that many others agree with. I regard ot as a lazy argument to say I should wear a mask all the time because YOU are worried about catching Covid.
