A statistically significant number of persuadable voters will run screaming from the goon squad, and reliable Dems will turn out in droves. Trump or DeSantis or whomever will accordingly lose. #justatheory
Note that 1) even without passing any legislation this congress can and will do a lot of damage, if only in wasting a huge amount of people's time responding to/challenging subpoenas; 2) I could be wrong! Would not be the first time.
