Post Politics Now: House Republicans vote to restrict abortion rights

The House passed two abortion-related measures. Neither is expected to advance in the Senate, but they underscore a marked change in focus now that Republicans are in control.

The Washington Post
@GottaLaff These votes are equivalent to the let’s vote against the Affordable Care Act again— voting for stuff that is going nowhere is a means of playing to the people sitting in the cheap seats
@dana Yep. But it’s dangerous. Riles up the base.
@GottaLaff 100%— dangerous
But, I’m seeing a decreasing benefit, vast majority see this for what it is now
The current broken social media universe is all being reconfigured
I see the chaos caucus ever less efficient, every less effective
@GottaLaff Am I missing something? When was the last time a pro-life clinic attacked?
They're the ones with the gun nuts on murder rampages in churches.
@pburke46 They're not pro-life. They're pro-forced birth and as you pointed out, pro death.
@GottaLaff Mobsters, every one of them.
@pburke46 Yes. Disgusting and horribly dangerous.
@GottaLaff I'm terrified to think what more damage they'll create.
@pburke46 For one, they won't pass legislation that we need, and may very well destroy the world economy by defaulting on our debt. For starters.
@GottaLaff Laffy, or someone with excellent knowledge of how the House works, please teach me. What are laws and legislations that House Republicans can pass without Senate’s pass? I think they can impact a lot on budget and spending. We are all concerned about the rogue House Republicans but we must remember Dem still own the Senate and the WH.
@normalguy They can't pass laws without the Senate and the WH. But they can stop laws from being passed, so that's damaging.
