It’s bizarre to watch the news try and build a rational story around this 6 year old his shooting his teacher. Yesterday I saw the Washington Post wonder what the kids “motive” was. Today the Times is wondering if metal detectors would stop this from happening in the future. And here is the police chief wondering aloud how a 6-yo knows to use a gun. He’s an American! We teach concealed carry as a civic virtue!
If there was a right to own dynamite sticks, would the Washington Post be shocked kids were blowing up schools? Maybe support restricting their access to matches? If there was a Fox News-promoted right for all Americans to drive construction equipment, would the Times be surprised when a kid bulldozed his school?
