Saw a Dutch article about how flu and rsv are hospitalizing a lot of people and it has this gem in it:

"the combination of flu, rsv, **and other viruses** is causing high pressure on hospitals"

That "other viruses" sure is doing a lot of heavy lifting given that covid isn't mentioned *anywhere* in the article and is hospitalizing 600 people a week in the Netherlands atm. Does "other viruses" maybe have a name? Maybe something that starts with C?

No wonder people think covid is over cause they "never hear about it anymore" when the media just makes a point of not mentioning it. Maybe they can reframe covid as "a novel coronavirus involved infection" 🙄

@eniko well apparently with the wave from china getting extra attention now, people are getting more vaccines in Spain, which is something, although always they speak of it with some xenophobic bullshit

@ror3d love how the west kept pressuring china to drop zero covid policy then when they did they're like "omg do something about the covid spread in your country!"
