Listen, the world may be on fire, but at least we have Giuliani describing the birth process of a marsupial to keep hope alive. I added a soundtrack because I had no other choice. So much WTF. #KangaRudy πŸ˜‚

@jimstewartson @Gal_suburban I couldn't watch / listen to the whole thing.
I did, however, love the music.

Also, does his cap say BLUE? I thought Jan6 proved that the fascists didn't back the blue.

@pburke46 @Gal_suburban Yeah. The only people in NYC who like Rudy are cops because he gave them β€œBroken Windows” which allowed them to stop anyone and harass them just because they were in the wrong neighborhood or fit a certain profile.
@jimstewartson @pburke46 @Gal_suburban Most of us bought into the Giuliani mayorship because NYC was a disaster in the late 80’s early 90’s, I can vouch b/c I lived through it. But by the late 90’s, he was mostly despised. As Ed Koch said, on 9/10/2001, Giuliani would have lost his race for dog catcher. But the fact is, his public face around 9/11 pulled the city and the nation together. Like it or not, it’s true. But now his true colors show.

@LindaVT @jimstewartson @pburke46 @Gal_suburban my father-in-law's baby sister adopted Manhattan as her hometown after the Peace Corps.

I think 911 was Giuliani's high water mark.

Now he sounds and acts like someone who belongs in a "home.". While I was never a fan, it's sad to see what he has turned into.

@LindaVT @jimstewartson @pburke46 @Gal_suburban That's the thing, any mayor could have brought the city together by just being there on the behalf of the traumatized people. It wasn't exactly a stretch to think that was the right thing to do.
