If you played most the songs from #RumbleOfThunder during the final quarter of a college football game I don't think anyone would notice. They'd assume they were too drunk to hear the lyrics correctly and go on with life. The back beat is very Country.
This is not a bad thing. I don't hate country music. I hate that country music stations don't play many women artists, the Trumpism of country DJs, & the general misogyny of the toxic country culture. The music itself is usually decent, you just have to get past all the hurdles.
If you're confused, it helps to understand that I am as faithful to music genres as I am to book genres. Which is to say - I'm not.
I'll listen to almost anything. I prefer heavy drum beats and a good vibe. There are certain high notes I don't like, but language is not an issue.
I don't speak Mongolian (although it's on my list to learn and they have beautiful writing) but I will absolutely listen to it.
