Did the studio behind the game do something shady that I am not aware of?

All I know is that J.K Rowling is a bit of a... uhm... less desirable person. but that isn't exactly new either. Though that has little to nothing to do with the studio. She has no imput on the games development and the story that is used in the game is not written by her in anyway. the only thing she has indirectly provided is the setting and location through her books. Atleast as far as I know.
@Appusle She gets a lot of input as per her contracts... she's a control freak. This is why the Hogwards themepark didn't work for disney.. The dev they selected used to run an alt-right youtube channel... and the plot (from what I've read) is about a slave uprising... and you're supposed to put them back in line. She has done so much harm to the world and it's really sad... looking back at her books, you can kinda see it... she doesn't believe in right and wrong as much as she believes in good or bad people... she believes in status quo as well. Like, if bad people in Harry Potter own a slave, well... they are "good slave owners." But, if someone evil owns a slave, then they are, "evil slave owners." She has that basic idea throughout the books... people are good or bad and their actions are judged based upon that.
@ward oh... Yeah you are right, I purposely didn't read much into what the lore would be like given I had an interest in the game. I still do simply because, from pure gameplay, its an actually "Harry Potter" like game. which is what I have wanted for years. But.. now that I read more into the plot its indeed about a slave uprising, more specifically a Goblin uprising. Ranrok the main villain of the game is starting an uprising because he believes human witches and wizard purposely prevent Goblins from learning magic/wand craft to further discriminate them. so he starts a rebellion to.. fix this I guess. To do this he starts an alliance with a Dark Wizard(because why not) and that's the group you will be battling against.

The question remains if you are battling to keep Goblins where they were or merely to make sure an all out war between humans and Goblins is prevented. I have tried looking for more story bits but i can't really find any. So I will wait ACG's review of the game before buying it my self. if I buy it. As far as I can read J.K is not involved in the game at all, despite her being a control freak.

But I hear you and will be cautiously following the game and see if it also contains discriminatory and transphobic content in a bad manner (Like to normalize such behaviour etc)

This was my source:

This was the only one that spoke more in-depth about things other then writing like a few lines based on the synopsis of the game.
@ward I forgot to ask, because I couldn't find it..., probably because my brain hasn't been very optimal today, Who is the main Dev of the game? All I know its made by Avalanche Software. But i haven't really seen names, and in their showcases I've mostly just been skipping through the video. Mostly because the talky explaination bits felt VERY scripted and fake and was honestly very cringe to listen to..
@Appusle It's Troy Leavitt who was an alt-right youtube figure on the very wrong side of all the gamergate stuff... mostly anti-social justice, anti-women, etc. I can at least agree with him that Sarkeesian is annoying. I don't want to link his channel here, but it's easy to find. I'd bet he's made a lot of the old videos private... but not sure.
