Dan KennedyI’m curious to know why people who are posting here continue posting at Birdchan as well. Mastodon becomes more useful as people are persuaded to drop Twitter and come over here instead.
Here's the problem. By continuing to be active on Twitter, you're giving people there less incentive to move here. As a result, the value of Mastodon is sputtering along at a lower level than it should be. And those of us who have moved here start to think about going back to Birdchan.
BarbaraPittman ☕️💬@dankennedy_nu You also have to ask how many people on Twitter have their other foot in Post, waiting for that to be fully functional. I think it’s too soon to panic, but in the end, the fragments of Twitter may not come together in just one place.
@grinnpidgeon I have a foot in Post, but in terms of value, I'd have to say that it's Twitter, followed by Mastodon, followed way behind by Post.
