Red Summer of 1919: How Black WWI Vets Fought Back Against Racist Mobs

HISTORY
@KevinCarson1 it’s amazing how working men returning home with weapons and confidence can transform society.
How do we bring this learning to the squashed oppressed generations enduring abusive exploitation?
@ChuffMeister Makes me think of Chomsky's observation that populations became radicalized during WWI and WWII and the forces of reaction responded with violence afterwards in both cases.
@KevinCarson1 Churchill order troops to fire on Liverpool strikers, but I doubt women or men without property would have got a vote if the population hadn’t been used as pawns in a family squabble- particularly as the main arms producers on both sides cut a deal to share profits= investors made cash from every death regardless of nationality.
Classic modern business model.
@ChuffMeister Hell, probably goes back to labor militancy after the Napoleonic Wars, leading up to the Peterloo massacre
