A pair of Red-browed Finches are building a nest right over the walking trail

Despite building it in the middle of a ball of Casuarina leaves, the busy builders are drawing attention to themselves and I expect everyone out walking today spotted the nest

Here one arrives with some nesting material, and in the next shot a parent gazing out through the ball of leaves keeping an eye on me
