#Tarot readers: Do you you read #reversedcards? Do you consider the reversed and upright interpretations? I got the #CrowTarot - #RiderWaite with crows - and I keep pulling one card for my general situation and getting reversed cards.

@vampwritergrrl I don't read reversals BUT I kind of keep the essence of what the reversal is about in mind when I read. Like, if I pull 9 of Cups I would warn about over indulgence even if it's upright. If one stray reversal pops up I will respect it but I feel like I get readings that are more clear, and that scare the client less, when they're all upright.

@vampwritergrrl
I don't read reversed. I feel the 78 cards span a wide range of human experiences and are enough to tell any story. if a card comes up reversed, I flip it upright and consider it 'softer' energy in that placement.

and wow, love that deck!!! 💛

@vampwritergrrl I don't read reverse cards. I find the tarot nuanced enough without the complications of reverse meanings added. Besides, only certain decks seem applicable to reverse meanings, considering the image on the back of the cards could appear upside-down as you shuffle and stack them.
@vampwritergrrl I keep all the cards upright, but I read with the reversal in mind. In other words, the reversal is included within the upright when I look at the cards for a fuller texture and meaning palette to draw from when reading. On the occasion that a card lands on the table in the reverse position, I give the reversed meaning extra emphasis in the reading and seek the means of flipping it by rearranging the energies (and the actions this suggests) present on the table.
@vampwritergrrl That is, *if* flipping the reversed card is desired.
@vampwritergrrl yes and no, depends on the deck. I will say when a particular deck keeps throwing all reversed cards that is usually an indication that it needs cleansed and recharged. I will use incense for the cleansing and then put the deck on my altar for a few days to recharge.
