the sessions have not been at-each-others-throats tense, but Paul is obviously a thinskinned, narcissist who seems to barely see other people as people, he directs the band in a sort of bullying manner, and is particularly tough on George.

Paul is a fucking asshole.

John is emotionally distant and uninvolved, won't step into any of this at all, also a dick move, frankly.

there's a lot of talk on the remarkable scene where Paul is jamming in a kind of freeform way, adjusting until suddenly the song "Get Back" comes into focus. it's a great scene.

the other side of Paul's creativity is where he basically invents the whole "Yoko broke up the Beatles" myth & jams that with a little audience who are a little too into slagging off someone who's been politely minding her business the whole time & isn't there to defend herself.

he whole thing sure seems like "well it can't be Paul's fault, must be this Yoko woman" - some implicit racism surely happening there, and fairly typical narcissistic behavior.

Linda was involved in the Yoko slander too, very two-faced of her, since apparently Yoko had been confiding in Linda.
