Though as I tell my American friends, on paper Canadian's rights to speech and association are shockingly fragile, compared to the US ...
But in practice, the US is so much more filled with people ferociously trying to shut down one another (and seizing political power, at the town level and up to do so) ...
... that Canada scores ahead of the US on many freedom indexes
