One has to try embarrassingly hard to get to satire these days... because the things that they actually say are so utterly insane and self-degrading and humiliating and outright stupid that to be "over the top" becomes... hard

@standev @dirkhh @Popehat I just read up on Poe's Law as I had missed that. To be honest, explicit use of a smiley to clearly mark satire to avoid confusion is nettiquette that I learned on USENET circa 1984, but Poe's Law is a succinct explainer. Thanks for clueing this old Internet grandpa in. You learn something new every day, in this case at 4am when I couldn't sleep.
