A terrifying bill was just dropped in the late night hours in Oklahoma that would medically detransition all trans people up to age 26.

I called this would happen months ago - states are moving towards outright elimination.

A new bill has been filed in Oklahoma that would ban gender affirming care under age 26. Republican states are moving towards banning transition entirely.

@ErinInTheMorn under 26 years? This is insane! And so horrific for all the trans folks and their families affected. So many of my trans friends transitioned in their mid-life years, they would have been so much happier if they could have transitioned much earlier. My friends’ kids can use medical methods to halt puberty, which is so key. We need more support for these folks, not less! Such hate coming out of Oklahoma.

@paulawirth @ErinInTheMorn while it is true that there is brain development still happening for some up to the age of 25, we don’t think 18 year old are idiots. They know who they are. The next argument will be that no one under 25 should vote. How about no one under 25 should be allowed to join the military?
