the indescribable feeling of rediscovering Home with new members of it

@nearpoetics this sounds very pretty.

I love the idea of 'home' in general, it is often very inscrutable but at the same time absolutely inviting and rich with meaning.

@greyor as an immigrant i struggle with the concept quite a bit. but i just recently visited my “homeland” with my partner, the piece of geography that saw me grow with the people who raised me (all arbitrary). also, my partner shares some roots with my home country so its been shaking my entire conception of what a home means/is/how many i have/how its built/etc.

I am so sentimental and inspired. I have thoughts I hadn’t had before!

Its both sweet and complex. How do you feel about your HOME?

@nearpoetics I imagine that would be difficult! But also very interesting and inspiring as you say!

Home is indeed sweet and complex. So I moved out of my hometown for school in 2005 and have only been back to visit since. Lived three other places since, so I've had to rebuild (my idea of) home in each place. But homecoming to my hometown is unique and special. Now I am building home here and it's nice but different. I think it's great to be able to build an idea of home, and hold onto it, wherever you are.

I've spent a lot of time studying homecoming and home in the ancient world, so it's very near and dear to me. Home is complex, home is manifold, home is a person, home is a place, home is a feeling, home is wondrous, it is bittersweet, it is lifegiving. I have a lot of thoughts on it and sorry to ramble!
