My day is revising a syllabus and making granola

Guess which I am doing first

Best granola is crunchy, sweet, chunky

/thread

Two pounds of oats and one of (raw) nuts.

I like mostly sliced almonds plus some pecans/walnuts. 2/N

I weigh dry ingredients. Far easier than measuring cups.

Precision not hugely important, don't @ me about scale readings

6 oz unsweetened, shredded coconut 3/N

5 oz sesame seeds 4/N

Mix thoroughly

Nuke 1 c vegetable oil + 1.5 cups honey/maple syrup till warm

The balance between honey and maple syrup is your choice

[eagle-eyed readers will see I have a total of 3 cups of liquid in this photo. I made a mistake!]

5/N

Mix the warmed liquid thoroughly into dry ingredients

Mix well! Unmoistened bits won't toast well

Pics are of dry ingredients, before and after adding the oil and sweeteners
