You don't have to be a House member to be Speaker.

Dems should nominate Obama.

@jeremy_pm @rbreich Such a deal would probably have to vote in either one of the most conservative Democrats, or one of those closest-to-moderate Republicans.

@patrickoldhiker @rbreich That is essentially the problem with the USA's binary political system. There's little room, if any, for people prepared to work together for the good of the country.
