My name is Gloria Actually@Hubert @mcc can’t remember which folk religion has this but one (or maybe some) of them you’re given two names. One is your everyday name which everyone uses. The other is your True Name, this is a special name that’s only used during special ceremonies and is closely tie to your soul. Knowing a person’s True Name give you power over them (usually in spells) so it’s kept secret
