James Grimmelmann@klonick That’s funny. From the Mastodon side, I get the sense there are a lot of people who can’t or won’t leave Twitter, and at this point it is hard to imagine what would convince them to if the past two months haven’t.
Luis Villa@jtlg @klonick yeah, I see a lot of people who are obviously cross-posting but only actively engaging on Twitter. (Plenty of real, organic activity “here” too, but … definitely not the same.) And even some pretty anti-Musk people, who seemed to be pretty credibly in “this is my last tweet mode” in December, actively returning to Twitter?
(I’m still dipping my toes in over there right now because the ML and politics discourse over there is still much thicker.)
