@mgmarkel I've had that experience of enthusing too soon and then, dunno, maybe the body feels like it's already done it or something but the impetus leaves me.

@gramjoeldavies Exactly! Dispels some of the energy. OK for obvious pipe dreams. Fun to tell your friends about the screenplay you'll never write. At least it's alive for a few minutes, in that conversation.

@mgmarkel I think it's important to be really careful even about sharing drafts, at first, except maybe with trusted mentors or workshop colleagues.
