@vruz @steffen @sutharshan @Ibby As an an individual, Gakpo is a great signing. As someone coming into *this* squad, to solve *these* problems, it's hard to see how he makes much sense. Liverpool now have a stellar frontline (Salah, Firmino, Jota, Diaz, Nuñez, Gakpo) with a weak engine-room behind it. Very strange.
@mike @vruz @steffen @Ibby I doubt we'dve even signed Gakpo if Diaz and Jota had been fit. One way it 'might' help midfield when Jota is back (Diaz is out much longer) is if Klopp starts playing 4231 more with a double pivot. Whoever has played right 8 (Elliott, Hendo etc.) hasn't really performed well enough. Gakpo can play any of the forward roles in a 4231.
