As the Kevin McCarthy chaos plays out and the Republicans demonstrate their inability to govern, let’s not forget that almost exactly two years ago 139 House Republicans voted against certifying the presidential election. They remain an anti-democratic danger.
@StevenBeschloss they don’t want to govern. They want to break the Federal government.
@clmerle @StevenBeschloss
Government is the enemy, right. Thanks for the pay, the perks, the healthcare, the media attention.🙈
We‘re living in scary times - the world‘s in a terrible mess.
@StevenBeschloss yes and media must recognize that GOP fell off the cliff when they tried to overthrow the government. Barry Goldwater said when Republicans allow religious right to take control, it will be the end of the party.

@StevenBeschloss I have lost patience with #HouseRepublicantheatrics disrupting our government. Especially members connected with January 6 like Jim Jordan. One of the following Republicans with seniority that is not a member of the Tea Party or acts of infamy should be nominated instead: Frank Lucas OK, Chris Smith NJ, John Carter TX.

@GerryConnolly please stand up to these shenanigans, our country has been distracted and been torn apart long enough.

@StevenBeschloss Rep John Joyce of the 13th PA Congressional District voted against cerification. The Democratic Party didn’t oppose him in the midterm election, which is infuriating. I will not donate one cent until an opposition candidate runs against him. He’s a traitor to the constitution and should not be representing the people in this or any district.
@StevenBeschloss FACT!!! 👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻
@StevenBeschloss Yes, if you are at all, in any way, surprised by the events of the last couple of days you have not been paying attention. This is a parenthetical comment in a footnote of "What's Wrong with the GOP".
@StevenBeschloss They should have been charged long ago. The longer they’re not, the more emboldened they become.
