Contrary to all modern understanding of evolutionary science, I remain irrevocably convinced that cats are really just snakes that decided to give themselves a serious upgrade.

@erinwhalen

Cats also demonstrate daily what healthy life priorities look like.
Humans though, largely seem oblivious to these teachings

@WitchyMaeve - It's true! Cats do make the best life coaches, for those who are willing to learn from them. 😸🧘🀯
@erinwhalen I've been operating under the theory that cats and owls are the same animal for the last two decades, but this also seems plausible!

@smheyman – cats and owls, hmmm? Interesting theory! Though I recently read that for all their historical association with wisdom, owls are actually quite low on the bird intelligence scale. Their eyes are supposedly so huge they don't allow much space for their brains to grow! πŸ˜†

All that to say, I'm not sure how much my arrogantly intelligent cat would like to be associated with them. 🐱 πŸ§πŸ¦‰

@erinwhalen if a snake and an amoeba could have children

@erinwhalen

I have always believed that cats are dragons in disguise.

@SoNotNic - dragon = serpent = snake = cat – yep, that tracks! Solid detective work. πŸ‰ 🐍 🐱

@erinwhalen I hate to be the one to tell you this, but it appears that your cat has a case of the noodle bones.

The only treatment is scratchies.

Sorry, I don't make the rules. ;)

@elmiller0330 - is THAT what's wrong with him? I thought he was suffering from Escher syndrome – where his body defies normal physics by existing in entirely different dimensions at the same time. πŸ˜†
@erinwhalen
When it comes to bendy mammals my first thought is the 'long boys' as my oldest calls them- ferrets, pine martins, etc
@AutisticMumTo3 - the "long boys" – love it! Though they clearly weren't as invested as cats in growing long, vertical-jump-capable legs. My guess is the long boys descended from eels, not snakes. 😁
