I learned something new today. This plant is what my husband’s family’s name is derived from. It is now Borrazás, but in Catalán it is Borratja. In English it is the plant “Borage” and my mother planted it all over in the back garden in Bolinas at the farm where I grew up. Somehow it makes me feel more connected to my husband and his family even though we didn’t know each other until I was in my late 30s. #Day03 #365happydays2023 #garden #history #genealogy #plants #herbs #witchery #photgraphy
@blmurch That's pretty cool.
I happen to hate borage because of how prickly it is, but the bees sure love it so I'm hesitant to pull it out, even though it keeps sprouting up all over the garden.
