Remember when right wing speakers were being "canceled" because students didn't want those guest speakers to show up on their student activity fees? It was a threat to intellectual freedom!

Where is that energy for COURSES and RESEARCH that's being canceled over this CRT panic?

Also, instructors unions should be meeting and planning actions to back these profs up. Everyone should pull all the courses.

@futurebird That presumes free speech was ever the principle involved, whereas actually it's naked power. *They* should be able to talk whenever and wherever they want. *We* should not.

Arguing against racism makes you three "real racist" because everyone knows that racists are famous for opposing racism.

Protesting against fascism makes you three "real fascist."

And banning thousands of books and entire courses all over the country is protecting freedom of speech.

Their brains are so hopped-up on fear from plunging their heads in the propaganda trough that they no longer know which way is up.

@futurebird Some of these states are "right to work" states. There aren't unions to protect high school teachers or untenured folks at the university level.
