Found in a friend’s fridge. “Milk so fresh the cow doesn’t even know it’s missing”? I mean what kind of sense can that make? They milk a cow. You buy the homogenised & flavoured milk in a supermarket a day later (it’ll be FAR more than that, but it makes difference). The cow won’t notice the milk has gone apparently. But buy the same milk 2 days later and by some mystic means the cow will now detect its absence from her udders? Apparently this dairy has used the phrase for decades. Well, I mean…
@stephenfry Reminds me of a poem we did at school, something like:
"The man put green glasses
on his cow,
and fed her sawdust.
She died on him".
Maybe cows 'notice' less than we imagine.
