Gotta be honest - I read about McCarthy's predicament and found myself wondering: Could the Democrats steal the Speakership out from under McCarthy just by having a united front vs. Republican internecine squabbling, when the House votes on its Speaker?

@Shachihoko @jaykuo It's possible. The Constitution doesn't even require they be a member of Congress. John Stewart could be elected Speaker if enough members of the House had a sense of humor.
