My #bookreview is brief/won't spoil, to spread good, great, & spectacular #horror #books far & wide.

Blown away by this novel. It is dirty, angry, profane, & loud- like great punk is. It is terrifying, unsettling, gruesome, and spooky- like great horror is. It is searing, harrowing, political, human, painful, and beautiful- like great ART is. And MORE. Spectacular. Out 01/17 (in the U.S.) Get it.* (*See replies!)

Sounds like my kind of book. I need to get inspired to read again in the conventional sense. I have become hooked on audio books.
By the way, i love your way with words. If I ever write a book, I want you to write the jacket blurb… or if I die, my obituary… whichever comes first.

@PrettyGnosticMachine @bookstodon I need to get into audio books but am too invested in the tactile sensations of physical books. Luckily, I read pretty fast.
Thanks for the kind words about my Words. I try to be concise w/ my reviews since I'm so verbose, normally 🙃.
I'd happily write your book blurb, should you write one & I liked the book. I'd be less thrilled to write your obituary, but I *would* try to make it good. (Disclaimer: Not an endorsement of you dying in any way.)

You’re not verbose, I’m verbose. Or as I prefer to call it, “palaverous” … Your writing on the other hand is quite pithy, and in the most pleasingly perspicacious way. (Hooray! I finally got to use the word pithy in a sentence, and with an alliteration. My day is complete!)

@PrettyGnosticMachine Ha. I admit I also apply (and appreciate) alliteration, again and again.

You'll likely notice it in my reviews and musings, at times.

It's a humorous, harmless habit I have, honestly.

@stina_marie Haha. I almost missed what you just did right there… *almost*
Impressive. Like I just watched someone execute the perfect dive. True poetry in motion.
