Jesse Harris@Senatorshoshana That's a REALLY hard question. The flood of instances out there makes it hard to pick one. I would say go search on instances.social and see if there's one that matches your public policy interests.
@elforesto for sure! Yeah thats part of it - esp bc I do diff policy. I might just join techpolicy but was hoping there was something generic, but seems like generic ones overfill fast?
@Senatorshoshana They do, and the local timeline is basically useless because it's so all over the place and absolutely flooded. On my instance, I dip into local and see a lot of tech/infosec stuff that's neat. The focus helps with discovery.
Another idea, look at the servers your follows and followers are on and see if you like any of those?
