Lots of miserable joggers out there today
@gwensnyder joggers I think are intrinsically miserable.
@gwensnyder “I’m gonna keep my resolution! I’m determined this is the—ah, screw it! It’s too cold!”
@gwensnyder
[Me from my recliner, nursing a breakfast burrito] Hahaha. Fools.

@gwensnyder I realized yesterday, with a jolt of emotion somewhat equidistant between regret and joy, that it is STILL not safe for me to rejoin the gym in order to beat my body back into shape enough that I'll stop grunting involuntarily every time I pick something up from the floor.

Maybe I'll take up jogging.

@dasher2581 walking and yoga have been so helpful for me, running is just torture for anyone with curves
@gwensnyder I wouldn't actually try running. There was a time in my life when I was in truly great shape, and even then, when I could do an hour of step aerobics or Body Pump with relative ease, running was Not My Thing. Now that I'm in my 60s and my hips and knees would prefer less strenuous activity, I need to figure out a good program and - my personal stumbling block - really do it regularly at home.
@gwensnyder yeah, I'm planning on staying back at the gym, but I might wait until February for the herd to thin out a bit.
