@InkstainedFingers This was taken in Perth, Western Australia - they migrate to southern Australia in summer to breed and spend the winter further north. I'm pretty sure they're present in Africa as well.

Lots of species of bee-eaters in Africa to the best of my knowledge and according to ornithologist friends of mine who've been there. Don't know if the rainbow eater is one of them - I'll have a dig.

@InkstainedFingers I'm completely wrong (and should have checked). Rainbow bee eaters confined to Australia and the islands to the north (including Indonesia and Papua New Guinea). Several other species in Africa though.
