@jentrification Fear-mongering indeed! It is crystal clear the IL Constitution is saying there should be a way out for a person awaiting trial & NOT that cash bail should be required. No stay should have been granted. The # of constitutional rights deprived with cash bail is staggering. Justice for the white and wealthy. My friend spent 20 yrs in prison for a murder she didn’t commit because she didn’t have bail & couldn’t aid in her defense. DNA finally freed her. #endcashbail
