My child said “I can’t believe we all made it”, meaning that everyone stayed awake for the countdown. I wish they knew how much more that meant to me. 2022 was the worst year so far for me. I’ve never felt so alone. I’ve never felt so low. I am here. That is an accomplishment that no one knows about. I am hurt, I am broken, I am struggling but I am here, I made it. I wouldn’t be here without my little humans, I am lucky to have them. My heart aches but is incredibly full at the same time. Happy New Year Mastodon universe. You made it another year. You belong here & I’m grateful for you.
