Trying to install NixOS on windows HyperV and it is not going great!

I ran the installer and now when I boot it up, log in, black screen

I tried VirtualBox but it's ungodly slow, I'm gonna just use ubuntu and try out the Nix package manager

Ok I got NixOS working, it's pretty cool.

First lesson: the shell in NixOS is NOT the same thing as nix-shell !

The whole concept of Nix is a technological advance. After I understood how to use Git, I wish for the same level of version control in all things. Nix is like that for your whole OS.
