@ToddInTheShadows
Good cast but
> Its plot chronicles the rise and fall of multiple characters during Hollywood's transition from silent to sound films in the late 1920s.
Nothing about that requires a trip to the cinema. It'll turn up on Netflix or HBO or whatever in a couple months.
@ToddInTheShadows It’s actually fairly good, but 3 hours of learning about how films in the 20s and 30s were made isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. It also shifts a bit between comedy and drama until finally settling on drama about 2/3 through. Biggest strength is the individual character moments when everything slows down just enough for them to realize how crazy their lives are.
I don’t mind 3+ hour movies, but they should bring back the intermission to make them more palatable.
